”There are several places where the magic of queerness becomes especially powerful, & one is in the delight in doing what one chooses to do & finding authenticity” -Larry Savides
Were you intrigued by the 6 week Queer Pentacle series, but couldn't commit to a 6-Saturday class? We are now offering an overview of the same material in a single Saturday afternoon! On September 30th from 1:30 to 5 we will be exploring what pentacles are and how to use them, what Queerness and Queer magic are, and delve into the 5 points of the Queer Pentacle: grace, initiation, desire, beauty, and self knowledge. In this class we seek & call in our personal authenticity using the pattern of the pentacle. The pentacle is the representation of our body and thus is a tool to our human birthrights. We will learn how to run the energy of the Queer Pentacle in our bodies allowing each point to enliven and inform on our queer nature. We will focus on the points of the pentacle, using discussion, trance, and connection with our Queer ancestors and allies to invite a fuller experience of our true natures.
Larry Savides has been a practicing witch-shaman-naturalist for more than 25 years, He has taught at numerous venues including Oregon Magic Camp, Reclaiming Magic Camps, Earth Conclave and
the occasional conference. His personal slogan in 1997 when he developed the Queer Pentacle was " 'tis an ill wind that blows no minds". These days he says "Magic is all about relationships."
Having spent most of his life working in Wisconsin and Illinois, Larry moved to Portland, OR in 2013 after a 14 year flirtation with it's land spirits, faeries and humans. Since arriving he works as a spiritual councilor and magical coach for people of all levels of experience.
Ebony Galluzzo has been practicing magic for 10 years and is an initiate of the Crossroads lineage, a Blue Iris Mystery School Graduate, and an apprentice to the fabulous Pomegranate Doyle. They bring their enthusiasm, curiosity, and depth to the rituals they priestess and classes they teach. Ebony believes that magic is infused into every aspect of life, and with the power of intention even the simplest act can be made sacred. They use their work as a parent, artist, teacher and priestess to change the world for the better.
